New drug development is an interesting and exciting field of medicine. During the development phase of a new drug, multiple studies and tests are conducted in which the chemical and physical makeup of a drug is analyzed in-depth to help make composite data that is necessary to determines things like dosages. There are plenty of studies for development such has: analysis of moisture, lipophilicity and hygroscopicity. Aside from those analysis tests, the new drug also goes through research into its intrinsic solubility, dissolution and disintegration. There are plenty of other tests as well to help ensure the safety and viability of the new drug.
Once a new drug has been fully tested and developed it comes time for the pharmaceutical manufacturing phase of the new drug. During this stage in the new drugs development, more trials and studies are run to determine the effects (both positive and negative) that the medication can have on an individual. There are a variety of different types of trials a new drug undergoes during the manufacturing process. All of them are important to the long term success and viability of the new drug being tested.
When the manufacturing is complete the final step in the process of new drug development is the pharmaceutical packaging stage. This is simply the container and safety seals used to deliver the new drug in question.
